The drought, the drought, the drought What excuse would you expect NDOW administrator Molini to use? I’m incompetent, I’m a dismal failure to the sportsmen in our state? I’m just putting in my time till retirement and could care less about our game situation? I refuse to acknowledge the predator problem because I don't went to upset the-anti's, or heaven for bid--HUNTER'S ALERT was right all along.
Let's set the record straight on the drought For years, Willie has been using this Mother Nature excuse for his failures. Sure, the drought has had some effect on our game, but deer tag allotments are down 71% from 1988. HUB e not because of the drought One of the few things NDOW is able to brag about is the increase in elk numbers in our state. Apparently NDOW wants the sportsmen in our state to believe it only rains where the elk are, and it doesn't rain where the deer are. The truth about declining deer numbers is not the drought. lion and coyotes are hard on deer and antelope but have a more difficult time killing the larger elk. In Craig O'Gonnan's article, he says of the Montana Fish and Wildlife Department, "No biologist in the state has done any study proving that any antelope or deer have been found in numbers, dying of thirst!" Have any of you read a biologist's study for our state proving that deer and antelope are dying by the thousands because of thirst? As usual Willie has chosen to take the easy way out. This should not be surprising to anyone who has followed the issues.
