Five senators,
ten assemblymen,
and the next governor attend.

HUNTER'S ALERT banquets keep getting bigger and better. This shows that HUNTER'S ALERT is accurate in saying that sportsmen are not pleased with the people who manage our fish and game. Never was that more evident than at the fourth annual banquet at Arizona Charlie's.

It all started with the event being sold out. The room holds 500 people and HUNTER'S ALERT had to turn people away. Greeting our guests were Bobby Berosini and his baby orangutan who (enthralled the crowd.

Many of our elected officials were in attendance and their comments were warmly received by the audience. Assemblyman Jack Close stated that he was "happy to see that he was a hero and not a zero" in the HUNTER'S ALERT newsletter. Senator Ann O'Connell received a hearty response when she said "We have to get rid of Willie". However, the most inspiring moment of the evening was when HUNTER'S ALERT president Cecil Fredi introduced Kenny Guinn as "the next governor of our state". Five hundred people stood and applauded Kenny Guinn. It was as though they were saying, At last we have someone who cares about hunting and fishing matters in our state. Kenny assured those in attendance he would straighten out this current mess. It was refreshing to hear from someone who isn't a career politician.

Kenny Guinn has never run for a political office but has a proven record of big accomplishments.

HUNTER'S ALERT urges our members to support those legislators who took the time to attend our banquet. In addition to those mentioned, also in attendance were Senators Mark James, Ray Rawson, Jack Regan and Ray Shaffer, Assemblyman Max Bennett, Maureen Brower, Sandi Krenzer, Mark Manendo, Genie Ohrenschall, Bob Price, Jeannine Stroth, former Assemblyman and current candidate Tom Collins, and former head of the Republican party and current state senate candidate, Charles Muth.

HUNTER'S ALERT thanks all those who attended and especially our donors for they are truly special people.
