Commissioner Tiberti told Advisory Board members that he had received many, many calls from sportsmen who did not want a crow hunt. When Board member Wilford Allen asked Mr. Tiberti exactly how many, Mr. Tiberti answered that there were a lot. Once again Board member Allen asked to know the number. Commissioner Tiberti then responded that there were three. To which Mr. Allen replied that Mr. Tiberti and the other commissioners had 2000 sportsmen wanting something done about the mountain lion and you ignored them. Suddenly three sportsmen don't want a crow hunt and you choose to represent them.
This is the type of non-representation for sportsmen's issues that Mr. Tiberti has exhibited.
Mr. Tiberti is proof that a new way of choosing wildlife commissioners should be implemented.
As one sportsman commented, "Don't be mad at Governor Miller for reappointing Jelindo Tiberti. Be mad at Governor Miller for appointing him in the first place."
Ed. Note: At the last few Wildlife Commission meetings, Commissioner Tiberti has started to represent the sportsmen We only hope this continues!
