In the Assembly, Governor Miller, Speaker of the Assembly Joe Dini, and majority floor leader Richard Perkins did everything they could to see that SB 127 did not pass the Assembly. But seven democrats stood tall over dirty politics. They deserve your support in future elections for they supported sportsmen's interests.

• 1. Assemblyman John Lee. Because John Lee was a freshman assemblyman, majority floor leader Richard Perkins thought he would be an easy target and put some heavy duty pressure on him to change his vote. He did not falter and / chose to do what was best for the constituents in his area.
• 2. Assemblywoman Genie Ohrenschall. She\ tried every way possible to get the bill out of Assembly Natural Resources and never waivered in her support for the bill.
• 3. Assemblyman Harry Mortenson. Assemblyman Mortenson told Chairwoman de Braga that he had never received so many calls on a bill and instructed her that he was going to vote for the bill.
• 4. Assemblyman Tom Collins. He stood up for the bill right from the beginning and never waivered.
• 5. Assemblyman Roy Neighbors. Roy Neighbors listened to the sportsmen in Nye County. He is to be commended for representing the sportsmen in his district.
• 6. Assemblywoman Gene Segerblom. Like assemblyman Collins, she stood by the bill from the beginning..
• 7. Assemblywoman Marcia de Braga. Originally, Marcia had SB 127 held up in her committee for two weeks. This was at Governor Miller's request. When the sportsmen in the rural counties that she represents contacted her in large numbers, she responded. She not only brought the bill out of her committee, but stayed with it on the floor vote as well. We commend Marcia de Braga for doing what her constituents wanted.
