I believe that these complaints have merit and I intend to resolve these issues if I am privileged to serve as your governor. When we have a state agency such as the Nevada Division of Wildlife, which is supported by user fees and the users are unhappy with its management, changes need to be made. There are clear solutions to the

problems associated with the Division of Wildlife.

My experience in the problem solving process as interim president of UNLV, as superindendent of Clark County Schools and in the private sector, give me the confidence to assure sportsmen

in Nevada that they will enjoy a new direction in the future. We will work together to bring qualified appointments to the nine member Wildlife Commission which is responsible for setting policy for the Division of Wildlife. Only appointees who have a firm grasp of the important issues concerning wildlife

management will be considered to take us into the 21st century. As in the private sector, the key to success is to choose the most highly qualified people for the task at hand. In order to accomplish this for all sportsmen, I need your support on Tuesday, November 3.
