If HUNTER'S ALERT has a failing, it is that we occasionally don't get our newsletter out in a timely manner. There is a reason for this. Every day HUNTER'S ALERT is doing something for the hunters.

And the newsletter can always get put off. The newsletter will inform you about

issues you won't read about anywhere else.

Let's look at some of the newsworthy items since our last newsletter.

With the help of Nevada Hunters Association, HUNTER'S ALERT sponsored Senate Bill 211 was passed. The legislative process was 120 days and every day required some attention to the bill.

Additionally, on June 4 HUNTER'S ALERT had the most successful banquet we have ever had. HUNTER'S ALERT does its own banquet and we do not farm it out. In order to have a successful banquet, it takes months of prior preparation.

HUNTER'S ALERT has also met with Governor Kenny Guinn on several occasions. HUNTER'S ALERT representatives have attended many statewide county advisory board and Wildlife Commission meetings. Some of the testimony from these meetings is printed in this newsletter. There are many other issues which demand immediate attention. So occasionally the newsletter takes a back seat. Rest assured, no other sportsmen's organization is working harder for all hunters than HUNTER'S ALERT.
