Another Bad Bill

NDOW sponsored Senate Bill 135 which now makes it a felony instead of a gross misdemeanor for killing a big game animal without a tag.

The possibility exists for the loss of voting privileges and ownership of all firearms. This bill was solidly rejected by the Assembly Natural Resources Committee. Senator Dina Titus who sponsored this bill doesn’t support hunting or guns. With that philosophy, we can understand why she supported this bill. What is surprising is that sportsmen’s representative Bill Bradley on the Wildlife Commission helped Senator Titus with passage of this bill. Sportsmen should find it amazing that he worked so hard for this bill when according to Department of Wildlife records, in 1983, he paid a $300 fine for violating NRS 503.090, "unlawful to hunt except during open season." There seems to be a double set of standards here by a person who is supposed to represent sportsmen.
